HODNETT IN FAST COMPANY ON WILLIAMS GROVE WIN LIST

MECHANICSBURG, PA -- Following a highly successful 2009 racing
season Greg Hodnett has moved into some elite company on Williams Grove
Speedway's list of all-time sprint car feature winners.
The Memphis native, now residing in Thomasville, scored a division
leading five victories at the Grove last year, which vaulted him from
ninth to sixth on the all-time winners list.
Hodnett moved past Steve Kinser, Kenny Weld and Smokey Snellbaker
in 2009.  All three of those drivers are currently enshrined in the
National Sprint Car Hall of Fame.
Hodnett will have an opportunity to move into a fifth-place tie
when Williams Grove opens the 2010 racing season on Friday evening,
March 19.
Lynn Paxton, also a Hall of Famer, currently holds fifth place with
43 victories.  Hodnett is right behind him with 42.
Hodnett's remarkable  `09 season included three victories in World
of Outlaws competition including the $50,000 top prize in the National Open.
While Hodnett's ascent on the win list has been impressive, Todd
Shaffer isn't far behind him.
The defending track champion from Millerstown won three times last
year and has moved into an 8th place tie with Kinser and Weld.  All
three own 38 career victories at the Grove.
Fred Rahmer leads all drivers with 81 wins followed by Lance
Dewease - 70, Don Kreitz, Jr. -  53 and Keith Kauffman - 51.
The limited (358 c.i.) sprints will also be on the March 19 card
and four drivers are currently tied for first place on that division's
list of winners.
Defending champion Cory Haas and two-time champ Pat Cannon are tied
with current sprint car star Chad Layton and division pioneer Mike
Lehman.  All four drivers own 14 career victories in 358 competition.
The March 19 opener is scheduled to start at 7:30.
