MILLER IN FAST COMPANY -- EICHELBERGER COULD TIE JACKSON APRIL 24

MECHANICSBURG, PA -- The Saturday Night Series returns to Williams
Grove Speedway on April 17 and if week two is anything like week one,
the fans should be in for quite a show.
The two top divisions in the series, the super sportsman cars and
358 c.i. late models, will be back in action this Saturday along with a
special appearance by the 305 c.i. sprint cars.
Racing is scheduled to begin at 6:30.
Paul Miller led every lap to win the season opener in the sportsman
division.  It was his fifth career victory at Williams Grove.
The triumph moved Miller into a tie for sixth place on the
speedway's sportsman winners list and places him in some fast company,
because he is now tied with four of the all-time greats in this
division.      Other drivers with five Grove sportsman wins include Dave
Calaman, Dwight Leib, Jim Shuttlesworth and Gary Wolford.
Miller's next victory will move him into a 5th-place tie with Pat
Cannon and if his opening night performance is a preview of what's to
come, that next win could happen as early as Saturday night.
Another driver who looked good on opening night was Rich
Eichelberger, who fell out of the feature with engine problems while
running second.  Eichelberger is currently second on the winners list
just one victory behind Larry Jackson's total of 12 and could tie the
record this week.
Bobby Beard stamped himself as a legitimate title contender in the
late model division with an impressive opening night win.  Beard started
all the way back in eleventh position en route to a hard-earned victory.
The street stocks and 4-cylinder stock cars will have this week off,
but both divisions will return on April 24 along with the super
sportsman cars and 358 late models.
