$5.00 ADMISSION AT WILLIAMS GROVE MAY 29

MECHANICSBURG, PA -- A five-dollar bill doesn’t buy very much in today’s economy, but on Saturday evening, May 29, five bucks will buy a full night of entertainment at Williams Grove Speedway.
The Saturday Night Series returns to the historic Mechanicsburg half-mile on May 29 with a 4-division card  featuring super sportsman cars, 358-late models, street stocks and 4-cylinder stock cars.
Racing is scheduled to begin at 6:30.
For the second time this season management is offering a $5.00 adult admission, which is the best bargain in area dirt track racing.
The $5.00 ticket was last available at the season opener for the Saturday Night Series on April 10.  At that time 97 cars filled the pit area and even more are expected this week.
At least 14 races and approximately 150 laps of close competition will be seen for that $5.00 ticket.  That figures out to a cost of about thirty-six cents per race.
Since a Saturday Night Series event could last approximately four hours, that would be just $1.25 per hour of racing entertainment.
This week provides an excellent opportunity to try the Saturday night brand of racing at Williams Grove without dipping too deeply into the entertainment budget.
The pit area should be filled to capacity this week.  The sportsman racers produced a season high 36 cars in their last appearance.  The late models haven’t raced at Williams Grove since April 17, so those cars should be out in force following a 6-week absence.
The series will return for three Saturday night dates in June on the 5th, 19th and 26th.
