RAIN FORCES POSTPONEMENT OF 360 NATIONALS

MECHANICSBURG, PA -- Rain forced postponement of the URC-sanctioned Rislone 360 Nationals and a program of sprint car racing for the Pennsylvania Posse Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway.
With the pit area filled with sprint cars, a hard shower struck the speedway at approximately 6:40.
Because the racing surface had been completely saturated before the rain subsided, it would have taken several hours to make the clay surface raceable, and the entire event could not have been completed before the midnight curfew.
The new date for the Rislone  360 Nationals will be Friday evening, August 6.
Williams Grove Speedway will host a special event on Tuesday, June 8, as part of the Appalachian Mountain Dirt Late Model Speed Week series.
With $5000 going to the feature winner a star-studded field is expected to be in competition for the richest late model event of the year at Williams Grove.
The limited (358 c.i.) sprints will also be on Tuesday night’s card.
Qualifying is scheduled to begin at 7:00.
Tuesday will also be Silver Foxes and Cougars Night at the Speedway.  Fans born in or prior to 1950 will be admitted for just ten dollars.
The All Star sprint cars return to Williams Grove on Friday, June 11.
Time trials are set for 7:45.
