SATURDAY NIGHT SERIES RETURNS JULY 17 WITH $5.00 ADMISSION

MECHANICSBURG, PA -- The Saturday Night Series returns to Williams Grove Speedway on July 17 with a 4-division card featuring super sportsman cars, 358-late models, street stocks and 4-cylinder stock cars.
The first heat is scheduled to start at 6:30.
July 17 was not on the original Saturday Night Series schedule, but after rain washed out three of the first seven events this season, the new date was recently added.
Admission for the July 17 racing program will be just five dollars.
The low admission price makes a Saturday Night Series event at Williams Grove one of the great values in area racing.
The last time a similar 4-division card was run at this historic speedway 114 cars filled the pit area.
There were thirty-six super sportsman cars in competition on June 26, along with thirty-one 358-late models, twenty-six street stocks and twenty-one  4-cylinder stock cars.
The 114 figure represents the highest car count for any racing event at Williams Grove this season.
The sportsman division remains as competitive as ever and is the only division which competes regularly at the Grove that has had no repeat winner.
Seven races have produced seven different sportsman winners including Paul Miller, Russ Mitten, Scott Dellinger, Rich Eichelberger, Bobby Hockenberry, Frankie Herr and Carmen Perigo, who won a non-wing sportsman race on July 10.
Gene Knaub is a 3-time winner in the 358-late model division.
Doug Hoffman has won three of four street stock races and Kevin Thomas has two 4-cylinder stock car wins.
Following this week’s event the Saturday Night Series will return on July 31.
