$5.00 ADMISSION AGAIN FOR SATURDAY
NIGHT SERIES JULY 31
MECHANICSBURG, PA -- After taking a week off to regroup, the Saturday
Night Series racers will return en masse to Williams Grove Speedway on July
31.
The pit area will be filled with super sportsman cars, 358-late models,
street stocks and 4-cylinder stock cars. Approximately one hundred race
cars are expected to be in competition.
It will also be York County Racing Club Night,
The first heat is scheduled to start at 6:30.
General admission will once again be just five dollars.
The super sportsman division at Williams Grove finally has a repeat
winner. It took more than three months to happen, but Russ Mitten, with his
victory on July 17, became the first driver to win twice at the Grove this
season in this highly competitive division.
Mitten’s first victory came on April 17, which was week two of the
Saturday Night Series and exactly three months prior to his second triumph.
The Saturday Night Series late model fans have a new driver to cheer
for after Cody Fairchok shocked the veterans with a near flawless
performance which resulted in an upset victory on July 17.
It was the first career win for Fairchok, a 17-year old high school
student from nearby Dillsburg.
Anticipation is already running high for Kids Night coming up on August
7.
More details concerning Kids Night will be released as plans are
finalized.
Other August SNS dates include Twin 20s for super sportsman cars on the
14th. The late models, street stocks and 4-cylinders will also be on the
card.
The same divisions will also compete on August 21 and again on the
28th.
