WILLIAMS GROVE TO HOST SATURDAY NIGHT SERIES KIDS NIGHT AUG. 7
MECHANICSBURG, PA -- The Saturday Night Series returns to Williams Grove
Speedway, August 7, with a 4-division card of racing on Kids Night.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early since race cars will be on display in
the infield beginning at 4:30.
Kids will be able to meet the drivers, who will be available for photos and
autographs.
There will be plenty of games and prizes for the youngsters throughout the
course of the evening.
A Moon Bounce and Giant Slide will be set up in the infield and clowns will
be roaming the grounds.
Carnival games will be available all evening for the kids to enjoy.
There will be Big Wheel and bike races on the speedway.
A spectacular fireworks display will also be presented.
In addition to Kids Night activities there will be plenty of racing action.
Super sportsman cars will be the featured attraction along with 358 c.i.
late models, street stocks and 4-cylinder stock cars.
On July 31, 112 race cars filled the pit area including a season high of 38
in the sportsman division. Another large field in expected this week.
The first heat is scheduled to start at 6:30.
August will be a big month for the Saturday night racers. A Saturday Night
Series event is scheduled each weekend in August at Williams Grove.
One of the most anticipated nights of the series is coming up on August 14,
when the super sportsman drivers will compete in twin 20-lap features.
Street stocks 4-cylinders and 358 c.i. late models will also be on the
August 14 program.
