Are the aluminum extrusions "new" or recycled from a local high school. New or 'GREEN' are good?

I know that CV put in a new grandstand on the home side this past summer...not sure if that was the source.

It's really nice... too bad the frontstretch restrooms are always flooded. Oh, wait! The TV cameras don't HIT THEM... Maybe that trivial stuff wasn't in the contract for Tony Stewart... the future owner.

Aluminum is an upgrade over wood, I don't doubt that. I'm over 6 feet tall and when the place is packed I have to sit sideways because there is no legroom at all and you have to crawl over people to get in and out of your seat. These are the most cramped bleachers of any track I've been to and this upgrade is akin to putting lipstick on a pig in my humble opinion. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks the Groves bleachers are extremely tight quarters?

Cant take the constant complaining.
Then don't read it... or ignore it. Rodney has a valid point.

Trouble is the average height of the American population is 5'7". So now these tall people are a minority. Maybe he should call in Jesse Jackson Or Al Sharpton. They will get it straightened out.
It is very comfortable in the infield. Lawn chairs & blankets!!!

BigRightRear Thanks for the CV update, could be. Used is good, after all WG is not tax funded like the new stadium down Pa 74 or the hockey rink in Pitt!

Lernerville has the best bleacher's I've seen. Nice wide 12" planks to sit your *** on and plenty of leg room in front of you.

Agreed 54..............L-Ville has some of the best stands I have ever taken in a race from.

BRR the seats are numbered on top with red numbers for reserved the the yellow numbers will go on when warmer weather comes and they will also have red & yellow stripes on the front edge of the seats

we regulars understand that...but the knuckleheads that come in for a race here and there wander up to the reserved section need a visible SIGN to serve them notice before WE have to remind them.

a few instances were not pretty last year...even when there were other seats nearby...the idiots remained indignant.

when you sit on the backstretch, you come to understand that you are like a second class citizen to the tower because you can ask them for the same signage that is present in other parts of the grounds and simply be ignored!

glad to see some improvements are being made...maybe a trapeze net to catch the interlopers will be next? just kidding of course...that would cost $
Just be careful you not being a **** to a new fan that deosn't know where they should be sitting when they first arrive.

Brent - The lack of hospitality is always on the interlopers as BRR describes. It is amazing how defiant they can be when informed they are in "my" reserved seats. They will debate the fact - classic is always THEIR request to see MY reserved seat ticket. Laughable....That is usually when I get ****** off!

By then end of the season I was doing my best to keep as calm as possible. The more sugar I served the more venom I received. Ultimately at the Natty O I left the throwing out to BRR and DrakPak. Multiple request to the office to address the situation has gone unfulfilled.

I've been to many a track where I have been more cramped than WG. I'm not saying they're the best, just that it's the same most everywhere you go. It's the nature of the sport. Tell me a track where you have ample leg room Hotrod.

I'll take Musco lighting and a backstretch tunnel before I'd worry about legroom. ;)

Lincoln(concrete bleachers), Port Royal, Knoxville, Selinsgrove(in the covered grandstand). I thought WG already had the best lighting of any track in the area but more light is always good, especially for the drivers.
