Williams Grove Speedway
Camera & Autograph Night
We are proud to announce that we will be holding the first of two Camera & Autograph Nights at Williams Grove Speedway on Saturday, May 3, 2008. The first night will be for the Super Sportsman and Four Cylinder divisions. The pit gates will open at 4:00 p.m. this day and we are asking that the race car teams be there early enough to unload their cars and have them placed in the infield grass area for the camera & autograph event, which will begin at 4:30 p.m. We will be giving out to the first 100 kids (16 and under) a T-shirt that they can put on to have all the drivers autograph and to the first 100 families a free disposable camera to take pictures of the drivers. The T-shirts have been donated through a generous sponsorship from Lobar, Inc. in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, sponsor of the #8 Super Sportsman, driven by Rich Eichelberger, and the disposable cameras have been donated through a generous sponsorship from John Wentzel’s Body Shop in Myerstown, Pennsylvania, sponsor of the #888 Four Cylinder driven by Brian Wentzel.
We would appreciate having as many cars from these two divisions as we can on display and the drivers available for autographs and pictures for the fans. If we can make this a successful night for the fans and racing teams it will be an enjoyable and fun evening for all involved. For all that the fans do to support all the racing divisions we want to give a little back to the fans.
We will be holding a second camera & autograph night later in the season for the Late Model and Street Stock divisions. We will again be giving out disposable cameras and T-shirts at this event.
We have several other activities planned throughout the year to give back to the fans and hope to see more and more teams participate each time. Without the fans there would be no racing, no selling of your team product, and no one to cheer for you. Remember a driver taking a few minutes for a picture or autograph can make a fan’s night and they will remember it for a long time to come.
If any teams or any of their sponsors would like to get involved in any of the activities throughout the year and maybe even donate items to be given away or sponsor events, we would be happy to have them all participate. If anyone has any questions regarding this event or any of the future events, you can contact John Krall (your Saturday night track announcer), Mike Gill (you should all know who Mike is), Nancy Eichelberger (she can be found at the #8 Super Sportsman trailer), Lisa Sites (she can be found at the #21K Street Stock trailer); Lorri Yingling (she can be found at the #17 and #17G Late Model trailer), or Tina Hollenbach (she can be found at the #12, #13, or numerous other Four Cylinder trailers).
