Al's Pizza and Subs

Post by RamRod » Thu Apr 24, 2008 10:08 am

I will apologize to Smitty in advance for posting this out of the original topic thread. However, I felt that this might be viewed by more folks if posted separately. Based on the magnitude of this particular act of philanthropy, Al's deserves its very own "thank you."

Well then...A very, very, large thank you goes out to Al's Pizza and Subs, in Dillsburg PA. The owner, Bob, has agreed to provide/cater lunch for the Billy Kimmel Memorial Golf Tournament, at his own cost. So the golfers and volunteers will receive a half sub and chips from Al's.

If any of you stop by Al's for their terrific lunch or a quick meal before hitting the Grove, please convey your appreciation to Bob. FYI, the lunch buffet is bangin'.

Al's Pizza and Subs is located just of Route 15, on Tristan Drive, near the Members 1st Federal Credit Union and Route 15 Beverage.

THANK YOU, BOB! :cheers2:

Al's was on Bill's car throughout much of his racing career. I believe a picture still hangs in the shop. Prop's to Bob for his continued support!! This deal just keeps gettin' better and better. Should be a fine day...............for those of you not in on this yet, jump in and get a team together. I can promise you that watching Ross swing the driver is worth the price of admission alone. :pinkelephant:

Mad props to you also Ross, and those involved in putting this Tourney together. It's allot of work. Keep it up, it won't be long now!!

Tough night for kkr. Thankfully @brianmontieth called it a night when he did or he may have wrecked the entire field!

Actually, Al's is a franchise and each one is independently owned.

I didn't know that either until I asked the manager of the Al's on Trindle Road if they were all owned by the same party. I asked that because I've found the food to be just slightly different from store to store and found that unusual for a chain with common ownership.
