planning on tenting this weekend at the grove for first time ..looking for good location near trees ..have been at grove many times just never camped their before..any and all suggestions will be a appreciated...such as location--don't want to invade someones traditional space...location of comfort facilities if any after races are over--thats why trees may be helpful...noise and party animals no problem can hold our own..semper- fi from way back...also is there a fee or reservations required for this weekend...thanks for any and all info. :uzi: :thumbright:

Camping is $15 . To get a spot along any tree line , you should get there sometime Wednesday or early Thursday would be my guess.

Make sure your tent doesn't have any leaks.

Also, remember that the tree line on the south side of the pit road is reserved.

As it has been for years, there are marked spaces on the south side of the pit road (on your left when entering the pit road) that have numbers that correspond with the passes that they have sold through the office since February and what they sell when entering at the pit road entrance. Except for what Brent has marked for the Tilton Hilton, I believe that everything to the north (or right of the pit road) is a first come, first served area.

When arriving late after work on Thursday, have your reserved space passes in hand, and find tents, cars, etc., in your spots tends to get old after awhile. I have seen them remove the offending vehicles, etc., when encroaching on a reserved space.
