Its a race track, not a bar. If you have to have beer to come to the race track you may have a problem. One of the problems is the mouth gets a little loose and the filthy language that comes out is not good. Our fire company said, if you stop smoking at the bingo hall, it will go down the tubes. Guess what, double the amount of people attending bingo. Just think, you may have more people attending if you don't have to listen the foul mouth jerks.

You are comparing a race track to a bingo hall? :cwm4:

Get real!

I can't. However, I speak freely just as bad sober as I do drunk. :dontknow:

all I said was it would be nice if they had a non-smoking section and I get a lot of smart-mouth answers and suggesting I attend another track. Good way to build a fan base for the Grove.

This is my first post on this subject but I am glad that the Grove will be moke free in 2012. I for one am tired of going home every Friday and Saturday night smelling like cigs. Now I'm sure that you all aren't like this but the people I deal with at race tracks (mainly at Lincoln) are so inconsiderate. For example, there is this one lady that smokes atleast 13 cigs while she is at the track and only takes 2 or 3 puffs of the cigarette but she just holds it there while the smoke blows in my face and it pisses me off.

:dontknow: :chillpill: Didn't know the Grove was building a fan base. That track has been there for many years. The fan base has been there for many years. I don't think it is still being built. Just saying. :ohyeah:

:dontknow: The way the grandstands have looked the past few years, it might be a good idea to build a fan base. Just saying. :poking:

And i was merely stating that there is a difference between a bingo hall and a race track....A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!

Bars, restaurants and yes bingo playing at firehouses thought they would go out of business with no smoking....guess what, they haven't. Sorry you didn't comprehend. And I agree, the attendance has been down quite a bit so maybe they need a broader fan base. Or, it could turn into a housing development is the pink haired lady doesn't make enough profit. She doesn't NEED this racetrack.

I comprehended just perfect. I know exactly what you were saying. What I'm saying has nothing to do with an INSIDE establishment. There is a HUGE difference between inside and outside. You are comparing apples to oranges.

I was just inviting you to Port Royal where there is already a family section for you.

It's our choice as smokers, to smoke, not the people around us. With that, I never did or will have a problem going somewhere else for 5 minutes to have one. Hell, I've been going outside of my house for the past 7 years in ALL sorts of weather conditions and will continue to do so. It's all about how considerate you are as a person and some definitely are not.

Agreed, I only have a problem with the inconsiderate ones.
