You will be missed my friend. Loved watching you race, Loved the smiles you gave, Love hearing your stories, Loved the advice you gave. Loved the fact that you made everyone feel like they was your friend and they matter to you. God Bless you, You truly will be missed

I am so sad to learn of this. I will miss talking to him and seeing him. He was so encouraging to Paul and Jared and never missed the opportunity to grab a hug from me! I am sure heaven is laughing tonight! He was certainly one of a kind.

Smokey was my first favorite driver growing up, watching him wheel different sportsman around Silver Spring. I can remember countless nights screamin my little head off cheering for him! This past summer, I ran into him in the pits at the SSP Outback track where I race. It was awesome to have a legend like that around my car, and almost in it. He was such a pleasure to talk to! RIP Smokey, you will be truly missed! God Speed Silver Fox!
