York, PA – April 26, 2012 – Once again York County Racing Club and the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing will be conducting a small auction with proceeds to benefit the two organizations. The auction will be taking place at the Latimore Valley Fairgrounds as part of the 12th Annual Gary Wolford Fish Fry and Silver Spring Reunion on Sunday, May 6. The day-long event is scheduled to take place from 9am until 5pm and there is no admission fee for the fish fry/reunion. Food is available on a donation only basis and desert donations are always welcomed.
In addition to the Fish Fry and auction, the very popular and entertaining “Blindfold Race” will also take place in the afternoon with stars from various forms of auto racing working together in two-person teams, in an attempt to navigate the Latimore Fair Speedway. Teams include Super Sportsmen drivers Carmen Perigo, Jr. and Scott Geesey; Late Model rivals Gene Knaub and Bobby Beard; Street Stock wheelman Bob Scott, Jr. and his daughter Jenn Scott; Sprint Car drivers Brian Leppo and Logan Schuchart. There will also be numerous vintage cars on display and a shuttle will be on-hand to take visitors to and from the museum throughout the day.
