Seeing 40% chance of rain on weather.com for the Mechanicsburg area Friday. (30% I would be less concerned)

Can anyone closer to the track fill me in to see if its worth driving out Friday night, and that 40% not becoming a factor.

Thanks....

Some might tell you its not worth driving out for a TT show with 0% chance of rain. :handoverhead:

Where are you coming from?

I know TT's are involved (which I am not really a fan of, unless its Keystone Cup/Speedweeks/World of Outlaws). Time trials are just more time to pre-game before opening heat races. :yessss:

I've got about a 70 to 85 mile drive..... I've done it before driving thru two/three rain storms and it was sunny at The Grove. Got lucky.

I know "she" cancels easy..... but I'm willing to wait it out until 3:30pm to leave.

USWX was saying 50% on their web site yesterday!

I got a 60-65 Mile drive I usually check the radar before I leave and make my own assessment. Also check the future radar on weather channel its usually accurate.

Per the Weather Channel:

Day: Partly cloudy in the morning followed by scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. Very warm. High 87F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially before midnight. Low 64F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%

Its hit or miss depends where they pop up. Just hope we get to sundown before one builds over top of us as the sun helps fuel the fire for storms.

So I looked at the future weather map at 11am, and there is a giant blob of rain over Chambersburg, Milford and Johnstown areas. I have a connection in Hanover, but anyone able to post on here at 11am-noon, what its doing.

Looks like the first big rain fall we have to weather before thinking about trying to get the show in.....
