one of the best banquets I ever attended was the year the sportsman boycotted Silver Spring and had their own banquet. Every driver got something, money and/or trophies, wives got flowers, door prizes, food, band, dancing, you name it, they had it. Ask around at some of the old timers, it can be done but as you say you do need help.

Have a big picnic at the end of the race season.

Put me on your "helpers" list. I think the Saturday Night Series gang is a great bunch, and that includes the racing teams as well as the track officials. The entire atmosphere is so relaxed compared to Fridays, when so many teams are there to earn a living.
