:yessss:

Finally...I can buy some top row seats!

When I'm not there, you can sit there too.

I don't mind at all and I'll try and keep the drunk quiet.

I read this message board quite often but never thought I would register and reply. When I came on here earlier today I came across this topic. I could not believe there was a topic about the season reserved seats. I had a problem with mine this past Friday night. I have 3 seats and have had them since 1997. I have never had a problem with them until this season. My section has always been very low key and well behaved. Since the start of this season I have had a new person sitting next to me who has mentioned to many people in my section he does not have a season seat but sits every week in our section. He is one of those people who likes to talk to everyone even when the racing is going on. Most people ignore him the best they can including myself and my family. This past Friday night he decided to show up in our section drunk. He bothered every person next to him, in front him and behind him all night. He continued to stand up during the racing and wave his hands as the cars went by. Many people asked him not to stand but it did not stop him. I decided to make a trip down to the office. I had the pleasure of speaking with Kathy Hughes for the first time ever. I started out polite and asked her what is the policy of the season seats and if anyone can sit in them. She said they are open to anyone as long as they are not in your seat. I told her about the person who was causing problems and her words were what do you want me to do about it? He is not in your seats. I said well maybe it would be better to police the section likes years ago and she stated that for what she charges people for those seats it's not worth the money to pay someone to check the season seat passes. At that point I just walked away with the opinion that she really doesn't care about her reserved season seat holders. In my opinion I don't think it is right to the people who have been long time seat holders just to allow people with no seats to sit up there. I don't mind it as much as some in my section but when you show up drunk and want to stand all night and bother people I then have a problem with it. Not that it matters to Ms. Hughes (she made it quite clear she does not care who sits in any section and if they have a seat or not) but I know this will be the last season I will pay for my season seats. I will just simply move around like everyone else does and save my money to spend at other local tracks in the area.

If that's truly the answer that was provided, that's pretty effin sad. JMO, but if you didn't buy a reserved ticket you shouldn't be sitting there. It's almost impossible to enforce that rule though.

I have reserved seats on the fs. Every time I have been to the Grove this year someone has been sitting in my seats. I love it when they give me attitude when I ask them to move. I did call the office in regard to the red paint being all chipped off (leaving the old yellow paint exposed, prior to them making the additional row season reserved) and they did have it repainted within a week, which may help. I do think that if they labeled the rows "P", "R", etc...it may help too but then again people will do what they want with no regards to the rules or others around them. They do need to stop the stadium seats at the gate. If they need to measure the coolers they sure can check the seats.

It certainly was Ms. Hughes answer to me. I wasn't to surprised actually. A few people in my section said don't waste your time going to the office because she is very rude and really doesn't care what most have to say. They sure were right about that.

I have a few reserved seats at Lincoln and my stance is this. If I am there, they are ALL mine and I will ask anyone in them to move if I FEEL like it. If I want the room, I take it.

Now if I'm not there, I DONT CARE WHO SITS THERE.

This post is the EXACT reason I prefer to avoid the Grandstands...I have never understood why people feel they need to reserve 15 seats for 7 people...And then refuse to let anyone sit in them when there is a big show...Well guess what...Sorry about your luck but if your 8 other seats don't show up you need to let someone sit there...Get off your high horse and grow up....Some of you people are as bad as the drunks you complain about...

Like many other have said...I like me seat...Its blue...has 4 legs...I paid 15bucks for it...And it goes anywhere I can find a place to put it...Glad I don't deal with the BS you people deal with in the stands each week...Reserved and Non-reserved...

And i say it again...just sit in the infield and you dont have do deal with any of this, along with reserve seats. If you sit closer to the turn 2 fence like i do, you can see everything but turn 4 and the front stretch.

I dont talk to any authority at the grove or most other tracks because i know if i talked to them i would get p***ed off and never want to go back again. The only time i ever deal with them is when i want my money back for the ridiculous rain check policies.

Theyre not going to do anything about the reserve seats and any of this seat hogging stuff. They know youll keep coming back and quite honestly, if i had to spend the extra money hiring people just to police reserve seats, i probably wouldnt from a business persons standpoint. Reserve seats probably isnt where the track makes the most money anyway (Although they probably do make alot)

Well Posse 19 & you others - if you want to sit in my reserve seats on the nights I'm not there, Ok by me. However, I expect to be reimbursed each night per person the difference between your general admission ticket and the cost of the reserved seat. If you are too dam cheap to buy a reserved seat you don't the right to sit there - not even for one second. You want the right, the privelege, then PAY FOR IT!!!!!

Is a seat still reserved if nobody is paying to sit in it?

:dontknow:

So if I buy 100 reserved seats just for myself...and don't let anyone else sit in my seats...how fair is that to the people that are on the waiting list to buy reserved seats?

Oh that's right, this is America....

Freedom of speech is not a right too...LOL!

The way I look at it. If I paid for those 15 seats for 7 people and have 8 left over I DO NOT HAVE TO LET ANYONE SIT IN THEM. WHY I paid for them. If someone want to sit there too bad buy your own reserved seat. Maybe I have those other 8 for friends who MIGHT show up, and if i give those seats away my friends can't sit there.
