ummm. when was the fuel taken from the 27 team, and what was the reason they took it to test?

Sometime after the Natty O. Ed said in an earlier post (I can't find) because it was cloudy.

Wow... pure methanol is the rule.. no excuse for cloudiness.. no need for analysis.

I understand if the penalty had some form of sliding scales based on the findings, but surely if it doesn't pass a water test, then a DQ is the first result.

BTW.. there is no way a test should take this long to produce results...

Straight from the rule book. http://www.williamsgrove.com/410rules.htm

No fuel additives – including but not limited to nitro, nitro methane, or nitrous oxide injection – are allowed. Only pure methanol or other approved fuels may be used.

ANY CAR, TEAM OR DRIVER NOT MEETING WILLIAMS GROVE SPEEDWAY SPECIFICATIONS, OR STANDARD RACING SAFETY PROCEDURES AND EQUIPMENT, IS SUBJECT TO AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION AND/OR PENALTIES.

Anything can cause cloudiness. I work at Port and we had fuel issues right out of the truck it can happen. My guess is they bought fuel and there was another type of fuel in the lines or in truck before they purchased it. If anyone knows Mike he wouldnt tolerate it

so "no team" has been paid for the win?

IMO - DQs need to take place on the night of the event and stop screwing around with "labs".

If you are flying that close to the grey area OR dumb things happen - sorry about your luck - cya next week.
