question

Post by bigbrad357 » Fri Feb 01, 2013 3:00 pm

ok I have a question can we expect any food changes at the grove this year as it has lacked the last few years? also how about new larger bathrooms on the from stretch? how about paving the pits? can we get some give aways I remember port used to give away free admision to lucky numers back in the day. also how about a 410 and 358 in the infield with the drivers from 5 to 6 each night driver and fan interaction is missing big time in the sport any more I loved that growing up I know mr.sell tried to get this going again the other year. just some ideas and thoughts from a long time fan

Each year it seem the portions of chicken get smaller and smaller. I remember when you got 5 strips. Last year it was down to 2 and a half strips. This year it will be down to A Chicky Finger and Fries. :cwm4:

I hear where bigbrad357 is coming from. Being a kid I can remember going to the infield at Port for example and getting to sit in the seat of one of my heros and if I was lucky get my picture taken with them. That was the coolist thing in the world when you were little. More tracks need to bring this back.

The Grove hot sausage is excellent! :yessss:
There are still a few cars that stick around after the race and most will let a child have a seat in the car if asked. Be prepared to get dirty though. Washing prep may be going on but most of that is usually engine side. I agree what Mr. Sell was doing would be nice for the young fans, but you need participation from other teams to keep it going.

The SNS series does this very thing everyweek for the fans. Each week a car from each division is in the infield from 5-5:30 to meet, and greet fans. Another reason the SNS is such a great family event! So much different than the Friday night crowd...

Personally the only nights I enjoy the food at the Grove is when the Outlaws are in town and Brickers and that other stand with the huge burgers for only $5 are in the infield :yessss:

Oh yeah, you hit the head on the nail.
I wish they had those 2 stands all year. But, I guess that would bite into the groves consession pretty hard. :laughing7: :cwm4:
