It was good to see Fred looking like Fast Freddie again after some of the slumps he's had in the last couple years.
I'm also glad that things are going well for the 51 team. If a split had to be made, it's nice when it turns out to be a win for both parties. May all of them continue to move forward and have success.
But most of all, I'm glad that we get to see the quality of racing we do week in and week out. There are fans in other areas of the country who know the ability of our drivers and teams, and would consider themselves lucky to have one chance in their lives to see the likes of Rahmer, Monteith, Dewease, Hodnett, and the list goes on and on. How many of even our mid-level drivers and teams, or even some of our young drivers just starting out would be in contention for track championships if they were transplanted to any other track in the country?
And here we are, getting that level of show twice a week! The quality of talent we get at our local tracks is like watching every race of the WoO or NASCAR, without the travel expenses. How cool is that?
Welcome back, Fast Freddie; welcome back, sprint car racing; and welcome back, fans!
Q: How is Central PA different from the Old West?
A: In Central PA, the Outlaws try to catch The Posse!
