Last night, June 28, was a Diamond series race. Addmission was $18. Every Diamonnd series race that I have been to and I've been to most of them since they started, was a 30 lap race. Myself and everyone around me was asking the same question when the checkers flew on lap 25. Everyone agreed that the mush mouth announcer said it was a 30 lap race and it shoulod have been. So what happened? :dontknow:

It said this in the PR release dated 6/23/13
http://www.williamsgrove.com/13news6-23-13.htm

The Friday speedweek opener at Williams Grove will be the first of two series shows at the track in 2013 as the oval returns one week later on July 5 with the 25th annual Mitch Smith Memorial paying $10,000 to win a 30-lap feature event.

This week’s race will go 25-laps in distance and pay $5,000 to the winner.

Thank you for the explanation. I'll accept the fact that Bruce did say it was a 30 lap race was just a mistake which I can understand. I'm sure he is also used to Diamond series races being 30 laps.

Also on Friday night, what happened to laps 11 and 12 in the B main??

They ran 10 lap heat races which would normally mean 2 more laps for the B and they checkered it in 10??

I thought all Speedweek races were at least 30 laps and this race is now included in Speedweeks unlike year's past so it should have been 30 to me?
