National Open parking

Post by posse19 » Sun Sep 29, 2013 12:30 pm

What are the restrictions on camper parking this weekend? The past couple of years it has been a joke. Campers are roping off more space than needed which means less space for fans who only want to park their vehicle.I know of fans who avoid this weekend due to the fact of the limited parking availability You need to walk a great distance. How about this suggestion? Camper parking only on the outer pit entrance lot? And also have security available to park them orderly ? Nothing against the campers but it's only them certain few who give the bad name.

Keep Dreaming, The campers have carte blanche to do what ever they wish. Grove don't care.

So if that is actually the case then what do you suggest for those of us that aren't camping and are planning to attend? A bunch of guys I used to be stationed with in the military are camping there and we (me and my daughter) have an open invitation to stay over with them, but may not depending on how everything works out Saturday etc. So knowing what the parking deal is going to be like for cars would be like for cars and the best places to park would be nice. Thanks

If you know someone camping there, better have them make a parking spot at their camp site. Otherwise you will be walking. Theres no good place to park unless you know someone

 get there before the campers do and rope 1/2 acre off around your car. :laughing7:

As soon as the local or state police start tagging the cars along the road, if that's possible, the management might have to do something. Otherwise, business as usual. :dontknow:

Didn't they have the amusement park open for parking last year?

Parking was a nightmare last year on Saturday night , this year I am only doing the Friday night show. Much better parking situation on Friday night than Saturday night, a few less people :thumbright:

I know it's a hike but putting the campers in the amusement park is probably the best thing! Drive over to the track park than drive back to your camper! Plenty of room for all the campers over there if they would take down some of the rides and buildings.
