What does it cost on average for a 410 to enter a race at Williamsgrove Speedway or most tracks in the Central PA area. I assume there is a car fee plus driver fee and their crew. I am just curious as I always wondered why a driver and car would not be entered free since they are the entertainment. Thankyou

I'm not sure of the pricing as I've never gone to WG to race.

However, the idea that drivers and cars are the entertainment is valid. That aside, dirt track racing in most places is nowhere near popular enough for the General Admission side to be able to pay for the bills, the purse, and have profit left over. Given the purse that WG pays weekly I don't think the GA would cover their costs completely either. Some tracks (Trail-Way, and Susquehanna come to mind) are what I would consider a back gate track, where they depend on the back gate side (Pit entrance fees) much more than the GA side to pay their bills.

Thanks,
Jeff.

There is no car entry fee to run at the Grove.

It varies but the normal fee is $25 on Fridays. Can go up to $35-$40 for Outlaw shows.

At Susky we have to buy a competitors license for $75, plus $22 for a pitpass each week... Owners and Crew members can buy a license for license for $15 and pay $22 a week for a pitpass...

our pit fees are for our "admission" plus to help factor into the insurance. also , all car owners fill out tax forms as they are paid from the speedway , I know with working on the 410 for 5-6 years that it does get expensive but it is what it is. some of our micro races pose entry fees as well as individual pit passes for each driver, crew member , etc.
