Most cars were already running the bottom by lap 3...and most cars that were not went backwards.

For some reason cars could run other grooves in the B main...but how does the track go away on its own for the A?

If they'd cancelled people would be b!tching about pinky cancelling with the sun shining and no rain all day. They obviously got on the track and sealed it prior to the rain so that a lot of the water would run off. If they hadn't, we probably wouldn't have seen a race at all and if by some miracle they were even able to get on it, it would've been heavy and narrow which still produces follow the leader racing. I just appreciate the fact that they ran. Still better than sitting at home.

I decided not to make the 2 hour trip tonight. Instead I followed along on twitter. Now I'm really reconsidering wasting my time/money tomorrow. As far as the wet heavy, at least that would make sense to the average fan and not cause such an uproar. (all about public image) It quit raining this morning, could have gotten some water on it over the next 6-8 hours. Come on now...

I guess with the weather situation, the Grove made the best decisions they could, so I really can't fault the Grove management. Still I'm not happy with what I got for 30 dollars, plus the 25 dollars for gas. That's the way the racing game goes though. You win some you loose some. This one goes in the loss column. Crowd was poor for an Outlaw Show, with the stands and grounds at half capacity at best. Parking was not a problem at all. Neither was the traffic exiting the track. I haven't been to one race this year at any track where the attendance was what it should be, or used to be. I think it's a combination of the Economy, Twitter, Facebook, Weather, Dirt Vision, Cell Phones and maybe the bang for the buck. Modern Communication isn't the tracks best friend IMO!

I decided not to make the 5 min drive and 50 cent drive worth of gas. Sounds like the correct choice. My hate for special shows is growing.

If prep is not any better tonight, wait to they see how many people bail on attending next week.

Lots of options to spend time / money on weekends these days.

TBH, I was surprised they raced at all yesterday. I don't know how much rain you guys got up north, but down here in Maryland we got absolutely pummeled with rain up until about noon yesterday. We are still under a flash flood warning in spots around here. I'm thinking they probably did the best with the hand they were dealt.

I imagine today will be better. The sun is out and there is a decent breeze, but it isn't hot. I sure hope so anyways, I'll be there tonight with my racing buddy (oldest daughter) in tow. We haven't been out to a race in about month so we're both itching for a good show.

Complain if we race. Complain if we don't. :chatterbox:

Not sure I saw any racing in the A main...unless you call "grab the bottom groove and stay there" a race
