Just to clarify an earlier post, Friday, Aug. 9th last season was rained out at the Grove, so 26 cars might have been the year before or something.

I think we should be proud that some of our guys go off the porch to compete and represent our area. WG should appreciate these drivers as well as they do race there all the time and are recognized as WG participants.
The only 2 regulars at the Grove are Marks and Dietrich and this season Danny hasnt been a regular.

Possibly Westhafer and Zearfoss too. Not sure what their plans are.

Maybe at the drivers meeting tonight they can vote on it---points race or no points.

That would be perfectly fair for everyone. :thumbright:

Not mentioned making the Iowa trek was our announcer leaving the B Team for last night.
Perhaps next year Management can get the SN announcer to fill-in?
I do not buy a Season Pass to hear weekly BUMP!

Good luck to our representative teams tonight.

I didn't miss the A team Announcer, It was nice to hear the correct drivers and cars along with the correct info on the track.

I thought Shawn Wood & Jeff Ulrich did a great job of announcing. :thumbright:

Weren't they the guys that did SG Saturday night too? Thought they were boring as h.... Everyone loves to bash Bruce but he is one of the very best in the business. He used to share duties for the Knoxville Nationals with Zoch when I went out there in 03. Some of the fans around me were saying he was really good and wondering who he was. The only one I like better is the guy(Hare) that does the super sportsmen.

Crap...two weeks in a row I end up agreeing with this nut...Bruce is not a standard bearer IMO.

If anyone is going to the races or staying home because of an announcer, they might find a better use of their discretionary spending on a permanent basis...and that goes for ANY of them...sorry fellas, you are not the star of the showtime at Williamsgrove speedway.

Referencing that phrase because it is just as the B team reference IMO.

The announcing was not the problem, it was the bumper music during line-ups. If your product is so bad or your skills so limited requiring the need of music to mask those defects it may be time to change occupations. I like to hear the sweet background sounds emitting from the headers or be able to discuss the line-up with neighbor seated next. Not a screaming HOT ROD LINCOLN at 1 1/2 plus normal volume !
We all know the 'Grove has the best weekly product.
