Before we start complaining let's at least see how it goes. Who knows, it may just be an awesome night of racing.

Don't forget your Abacus!
Eh, maybe it won't be so bad.
It's better than a Friday with no racing.

Let see how the race goes before trashing it. Any body who put football ahead of racing isn't a race fan!!!!!

Boy that's the question of the decades. I started going to Reading in the late fifties as a kid and went until thet tore the place down. Since then I've never heard a track announcer who should be mentioned in the same breath as Warren Ruffner. Bruce has to be the worst anywhere. Between Warren and starter Rudy Gaenzle it was a great show even if the race sucked.

Back on topic: I don't understand this format and I'm not going to like it. Who cares what they do in Australia since they gave up their guns without hardly a wimper.
The older I get, the better I used to be.

Who listens to announcers that you can't hear??? For most races a fan doesn't even need an announcer to tell you what is going on.

There is no possible way any announcer can keep up with adding and subtracting points as the race is going on. But during a good format, you know where a driver has to finish in his heat to get his starting spot , and most of the time you know where he is going to start in the feature at the exact time the pass is made. As soon as qualifying is done , most fans can figure out the starting lineup in their heads. This format you need mathematicians to figure it out first.

Exactly, all I listen to is the lineups.

Who gives a rats arse if we can understand the format or if the Australian's gave up their guns. These are some of the best heat races we've seen at The Grove in a long time.

Yea the first three were pretty good. The second three not so good. There were some fast cars just driving around at the back. The feature was just follow the leader in one groove except when Krietz went low early on and immediately got passed by two cars who stayed in the groove. About as exciting as Australian football or throwing a boomerang.
