Post by pushman » Thu Oct 09, 2014 4:01 pm

Bill Long, one of the pushtruck drivers at Williams Grove passed away yesterday (Wednesday October 8) after battling cancer for the past year. Funeral arrangements are being finalized but if anyone would like more info they may contact his son, Bob Long at 814-571-9543.

Bill was a heck of a nice guy and would give you the shirt off his back. RIP Bill.

Bill definitely loved racing. He drove every Friday, for many years, from Phillipsburg, PA to Williams Grove, approximately a 2 1/2 hr. drive to push race cars and enjoy the action. On Saturday, he could be seen at Port Royal doing the same thing. He was a caring and dependable person. His favorite driver was Steve Kinser.
Bill, you will be missed both as a friend and race fan.
My condolences to the entire Long family.
