Motorama 2009 @ Farm Show Bldg

Post by Skinner » Mon Feb 23, 2009 12:42 am

A great time Saturday shooting the different types and classes of motorsports. I really had a blast shooting the motorcycles and 4-wheelers......

Took 323 photos, so I am still trying to get through all of them but here are a few.....the rest will be posted very soon at wrtspeedwerx.com....

I'd say probably close to 60.....but it got so smokey in there and then I went over at 1pm for the motorcycles and 4-wheelers and never left there.

Sorry bud, I didn't think to give ya a call.....

I could get into more of those motorcycle and 4-wheeler races. A photographer I was chatting with who follows these guys told me I need to get to an outdoor pro event and take some photos. He said the aerial stuff those guys do is sick.....something else to add to the calendar for this summer.... :camera:

You up for a road trip to catch the pro's somewhere? :truckride:

I'm glad you liked it and had a good time. I love shooting that stuff and planning on doing alot more this year. I'm thinking about going to the 2 events out towards Pittsburgh at High Point and Steel City and possibly down to Budd's Creek so yeah, I'm definitely up for the road trip. I'd also like to hunt out a few of the Freestyle events(they had one in York last year?). Let me know if you plan on going to any. I know I'll be heading to Happy Ramblers out in Hanover starting in April pretty regularly and I'll be hunting some more local tracks.

Budd's Creek was the one that he mentioned.

Here's the 2009 schedule for AMA Motocross Tour, events close to us....

June 13 High Point Raceway - Mt. Morris, PA

Aug. 22 Budds Creek Motocross - Mechanicsville, MD

Sept. 5 Steel City Raceway - Delmont, PA

And I am actually off work on all those dates, so we'll have to make it happen.... :thumbright:

After I arrived and signed in, I took a lap through there checking things out, but I didn't take any photos.

Some very impressive cars and I got a kick out of the DJ that was perched up high, bumpin' out the tunes.

No, for the cart divisions the only photos I got were warm-ups and for the motorcycles and 4-wheelers it was all qualifing events.....
