Just wondering...rain precautions?

Post by jocli156 » Sat Apr 21, 2012 5:16 am

What precautions do you photogs use when there is rain in the forecast and you have your camera equiptment? In other words, what do you use to keep your stuff dry? With the iffy forcast I'm debating on whether to risk taking mine tonight. Thanks!

Just my camera bag. Most will hold up fine until you get to the car. If you have a small backpack/bag and a large enough rain coat you can always put the rain coat on over the bag.

Standing out all day shooting in the rain is a completely different story.

If you can't fix it with a hammer you've got an electrical problem.

I keep a trash bag in my camera bag just in case I'm caught out in heavy rain.

Thanks! I got caught in not one but two downpours at Bport tonight and the bag worked perfectly. Plus it came in handy when I went to sit back in the stands! :laughing7:
