This Weekend In The Midstate

Post by raceguy » Mon May 05, 2008 1:32 pm

Should be a good weekend for latemodels this weekend.

Friday..........Williams Grove
Saturday......Selinsgrove (No Hagerstown, Port has no Late Models)
Sunday........Hesston (MACS)

Talked to Coleby Frye this morning.
They are gonna try for the whole weekend if things go right.
Anyone Else?

Selinsgrove missed a golden opportunity to have a big LM special but I'm sure they will still draw a couple of extra cars. Instead they have the pro-stock 20.

"My Opinion", Selinsgrove misses the boat quite frequently with the Late Models! They could have a premier division there with the lates if they would stop looking the other way!

The 2nd week in May is always the Annual Pro Stock 20 race. He dont really have to make it a big LM race IMO. Just make it a pill draw.

That would be a good start with the pill draw. Alot more Promoting needs to be done to increase car counts though. Right now the economy is tough, so the promoters have to be tougher!

Good point! Say like Twin 40's one for the 358's one for the LM's. Pay $5000. to win each and promote the heck out of it!

and selinsgrove would get the same 24 late models we're going to get this week anyway. bernheisel, shawver, wilson, wagner & haus are the only ones that usually show up when htown and port don't race
My OPINIONS are just that and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of anyone or any track I am associated with!

That's why I said you have to "PROMOTE" the event! With a negative attitude like that (I also might add just toward the LM's) no wonder Selinsgrove is not the premier race track it once was!

Winner, Winner--Chicken Diner!!

Why will SG only get the cars S1 mentioned? BECAUSE Winchester is having a 4 grand to win special that will take most of Hags cars away and others from the southern part of Pa.

get rid of the tire rule and instead of the usual 24, add around 10 more! if port -a-potty can draw cars, why do you think selingsgrove doesn't?
