Those grandstand fit over 6,000 people. I would say they made money tuesday night with a 99 cars in the pits and even 1/2 full grandstands.

JMO. And i agree with u Tweed port deffinately made money tuesday.

racefanatic - i dont feel stupid. i'll choose WoO late models at a dry port over 75% of the events at a rocky SSP anyday.

Actually I would go to SSP before going to a dry Port. SSP has put on some of the best shows this year. The Street Stocks have been the best weekly show. 3-6 cars racing for the lead on any given week. Also the ARDC midgets have put on a great show. The Late Models have definetly been exciting.

As far as the WOO. I too would like to see a WOO race where there is good side by side racing rather than one where it is follow the leader.

If I was going to the races to watch street stocks... well, let's just say that wouldn't happen too darn often. :poking:

I like when the ardc and 600s are at susky. i just cant take that track based on how many rocks are there. I like watching the street stocks thats what we ran all throughout my childhood, and they did put on a good show, but its the same way at the grove. wirt, salisbury, sites, hoffman, gutshall.. all run under a blanket. smoke would be there easily as well. but i would have to sayi enjoyed tuesday as well. i've watched these guns run on tv, but i mean i stood inches away from josh richards, clint smith, etc. i even watched chub frank get interviewed. it was very fun.

Yea, I would agree. They made ALOT of money....$25 general admission and $30 for the pits. And let me tell you, the pits were simply packed...not only by race teams but many fans made their way in as well.
