What intake are you running because i check my carb height with the Lg port vortech heads and i'm at 7 1/2 inch height so i'm wondering how you came up with this. Are you trying to put a 1 or a 2 inch spacer under your carb and if you are why would you cut you intake to make it work.

Same intake and yes this was a latemodel sorry didn't read the whole way thru so the problem is with adaptor for a 2 barrel maybe it's time to up date some changes to maybe a 650 cfm 4barrel. JMO
