classy..

Without knowing the full story, I hesitate to judge.
Whatever else one might say about Danica, it's my understanding that this was her first race on dirt ever in any type of car. I give her credit for being willing to go out there for charity in such a high-visibility situation for her first dirt attempt, at the very real risk of looking foolish in the process. It would have been far easier to try it out first in a situation with less coverage. The fact that she was running at the end might have been as much luck as anything else, but it's still pretty good for a first outing.
I'll say the same about any other drivers trying dirt racing for the first time it such a high-profile situation. I believe that Cruz Pedragon has run the Prelude before, but image what *his* first time was like, assuming he hadn't done any dirt tracking before going to NHRA. Does it get any more different than Top Fuel Funny Cars and Dirt Late Models (other than both breaking the tires loose as part of the standard operating procedure)?
