Just listened to Kyle Petty make another one of his Smart A. Remarks during practice at Sonoma, Stephen Leicht in the 33 car he bought from Childress, blows an engine or breaks an oil line. anyway Kyle Petty says " I like the way he kept it right in the racing groove" after commerical break they show the track crew putting oil dry down and you can see that The driver of the 33 turned to the inside of the track along the inside and could not pull off because there were barriers on both sides . My point is why would Kyle ever say anything smart a** about a rookie , after the way he raced his career and wasted the oppertunity he was givin in one of the most, high Dollar, Iconic teams in the sport. Hey "I like the way he hung on to that Petty ride untill they could no longer attract sponsorship and had to sell out" . Now he has his mug on every broadcast out there . Telling us all how it is .

He did make a very TRUE statement during that broadcast. They were talking about the Ferris Wheel
That was at the track. He said "That Ferris Wheel is a lot like how my racing career went. I goes around in circles and doesn't go anywhere!"

Those can do and those who can't teach. It is a lot like my business, those who are too lazy or couldn't make it work get jobs as consultants to teach those who are doing it their failed methods.

At least Kyle is honest about his driving career and he knows more about the history of NASCAR than any other announcer other than **** Bergren.

I will take Kyle's candid remarks over "boogity, boogity, boogity"!

Did anyone see the NNS race at Dover on TV? Rusty Wallace was brutal on Joey Logano after Logano made contact with a slower car and that car hit the wall. He was like a pit bull with a bone, just would not let go and kept bringing it back up the rest of the race.

The TNT broadcast team is just brutal to listen to. I'd take FOX anyday over them. DW can go off the wall, but Mike Joy and Larry Mac are very knowledgable.

Must just be me, but I have found myself watching the past 3 weeks because I like the broadcast team on TNT. I cant stand DW and hate all of the people on ESPN.

As for TNT's coverage, I don't have many problems with Kyle Petty. I think Wally Dallenbach is the weak link. Mr expert on anything, and he is also the negative factor on NBC Sport's IRL coverage. Adam Alexander isn't a great play-by-play guy either.

Fox has the best coverage although it took a nose dive this year with the addition of Michael Waltrip. Is it just me or is this guy THE WORST! I can't even watch a Nascar Truck race, because he is horrible, so annoying.

ESPN's coverage team (except for play-by-play announcer Allen Bestwick) is terrible. Dale Jarrett's favorite words are 'um' and 'uh'. He had plenty of time to improve, he is worse. Petree never has anything credible to say. Their pit reporters (except for Jerry Punch) are horrible. Jamie Little spends so much time chasing Danica Patrick around, she has no time to do anything else. The pre-race coverage is a joke. Nicole Briscoe, how can you take someone in the sport seriously when she says "I wasn't covering the sport back when Dale Earnhardt Sr. raced, so I can't comment on his driving career" Seriously, she has no business being in the position she is in.

DW is annoying but by far, Fox has the best coverage and I will hardly watch any Nascar now until next Feb. JMO.

I don't know if I'd rag on Kyle too hard. I've seen him just about lap the field at Rockingham. He's got 8 cup win, I bet a lot of guys that went through cup during that time be darn happy with those stats.

Besides how many can claim to have made their first race ever at Daytona and finished number 1?

Ill take Kyle over dipstick Dw any day. If the point system that was used right before the current one was used back in 92 Kyle would be your cup champion and not Alan.

I agree, how soon they forget. Kyle has had a rather good career, but because he didn't top Daddy's numbers, everyone seems to think he wasn't as good. But then who was!!!

Lets not forget he spent most of his career in the Petty cars that Richard spent the last 10 years of his career in trying to win one.
