Jake Jones Racing looking forward to a stretch of races without rain

For immediate release:
June 2, 2016

A rainy spring won’t dampen Jake Jones Racing’s season; Ready to get back in the groove and tackle the summer stretch. Lincoln Speedway on tap next…

It’s hard to believe what little racing Jake Jones Racing has done so far in 2016 as rainy weekends more often than not, have dampened the area speedway’s that Jake and his team were scheduled to compete on. If there is a bright side to the lack of racing so far in 2016, it is that the driver, crew and equipment are fresh for a long stretch of races coming up in the summer heat. Although hard to get in a rhythm, the team has performed well enough to be sitting 2nd in the Susquehanna Speedway current point standings. That said, Jake and the team know that they have not come close to reaching their potential as they work the bugs out of their brand new Lazer-X racecar. The team looks to get back to work this coming Saturday at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania.

“it has been a tough spring for sure” said team owner/driver Jake Jones when reached Wednesday night at his Miller’s Racing Parts shop. “We have this new car and so far it seems to be a really good piece, we just need to have it on the track more so we can get it dialed in to a baseline that works for me. It just seems when we are scheduled to race it rains and when we are not scheduled the weather is nice. We are anxious to get in a groove and race once or twice every weekend. We are checking through the different schedules hoping to add to what we originally had planned to race to make up for the rainouts. I really need to thank all of our sponsors, they haven’t received too much exposure yet but we certainly plan to make up for it over the next three or four months. My team has worked really hard the last few weeks and found something’s we were off on. We are pretty excited to get back out on the track to see what I can do with the changes we made. ” added Jones.

With the summer stretch kicking off this weekend, look for the immaculately prepared Miller’s Racing Parts/Berkebile Oil Co./Keystone Valley Ranch No. 43 to unload at a few different speedways over the next two weeks as the schedule calls for stops at Lincoln & Selinsgrove Speedways with numerous races at Susquehanna Speedway. The team would like to thank all their sponsors listed below for their continued support and hope to have them in victory lane very soon and often.
