LATE MODEL SPEEDWEEK COMING TO SUSQUEHANNA SPEEDWAY!

By Brad Vores for Susquehanna Speedway
YORK HAVEN, PA 12/17/16

For the first time ever, the annual Late Model Speedweek will be coming to Susquehanna Speedway.

Susquehanna will host the opening night of the 9th annual KRS Graphics Appalachian Mountain Dirt Late Model Speedweek presented by DirtonDirt.com on Thursday, June 1, 2017.

“It’s been a long time since the super late models have raced at Susquehanna Speedway and we are certainly excited to host the opening night of Speedweek,” stated track General Manager Kolten Gouse.

Creekside Auto Sales, located at 3730 Carlisle Rd, Dover, PA will serve as the title sponsor for the Speedweek race at the York Haven oval. Creekside Auto Sales, where everyone gets financed, can be reached at 717-467-5563.

The 40 lap Super Late Model feature will pay $4,000 to win with $400 to start.

Delaware late model star Kenny Pettyjohn is the defending Appalachian Mountain Late Model Speedweek series champion. Seven different drivers have won the Speedweek title in its eight year existence. Tim McCreadie is the lone repeat champion, having won titles in 2012 and again in 2014.

Joining Late Model Speedweek on June 1, will be the 358 Late Models going in a 30 lap feature paying $1,000 to win and $125 to start.

And to Williams Grove with 410's. Guess that will mean they will actually prep track this time. I know they hate Late models, but what is the only class you have ever had at your speedway that you could actually call to the track, and have lined up to take the green without a parade lap...Only THE
Late Models!
