This year Northeast Safety of Lebanon will be on hand from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday in the mall community room to answer questions about the HANS (Head And Neck Support) Device, which is used by race car drivers to reduce the chances of head and/or neck injuries in the event of a crash. Drivers will be able to try out the devices and those wishing to purchase a HANS Device can have their helmet hardware mounted on-site. They will also have other driver safety items on hand. Northeast Safety is an authorized HANS dealer and distributor of Simpson safety equipment. Note: If the location of Northeast Safety inside the mall changes, signage will be posted at the Speedway table. Transponders, required for Sprints and Late Models, as well as Raceiver Scanners, required for all divisions, will also be available for purchase.
Track officials recently announced the 2008 schedules for Selinsgrove Speedway and Selinsgrove Raceway Park will include a combined 64 events at the 63-year-old Snyder County motorsports facility.
The season will start at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, featuring 410 sprint cars. The ROC-sanctioned modifieds will make their first appearance at Selinsgrove since 1982 at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 15.
Selinsgrove Raceway Park will host Friday night go kart and micro sprint car racing beginning March 21.
My OPINIONS are just that and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of anyone or any track I am associated with!
