Very interesting; I wonder if this is something that could be done during speedweek by spending Monday at Bedford and skipping Grandview to spend a day on the trail??

We could get a little further to the bottom if we knew what we were looking for; those of us that can title search properties, would be able to get to the bottom of who owns it. It would all be public record in the County Courthouse.

It's still owned by the Pa Turnpike Commission . It's leased too "a race team" , more than likely Gannasi. I'm more interested in the 12 mile biking part that goes through the other two tunnels. They are open to the public for biking / hiking. The "Gannasi" tunnel is NOT open to the public , so we will be staying away from there as State Police are patroling it constantly. The longest tunnel is about 1.25 miles long and you can't see the other end until you are past halfway through. It's sure gonna be an experience ! I doubt we will do it during Speedweek as we always go to Path valley for Micro Speedweek that Monday.
