Another solid crowd 50%-55% capacity in the 17,000 seat stadium, car counts 24 modifieds, 25 sportsman, 19 street, 38 stadium (mini).. It was a double points nights that produced many crashes, blown motors in all classes..the most serious incident of the night was Austin Pack's flip in the first modified race, Pack clipped a tire of another competitor, rode the back stretch grandstand wall and landed on his roof at the entrance to pit road... Although the car was heavily damaged he was not hurt...Burt & Jason Myers were forced by the officials to change tires (suspected tire soaking) before modified qualifying which hurt their efforts in the first race, they finished in 11th (Jason) and 12th (Burt) in the first event....Jason Myers is now the point leader ....Brian Loftin was in Puddin Swisher's back up car after his primary Swisher car was not yet repaired after last weeks grinding crash.with rookie Tommy Neal..Neal also tangled with race leader Brad Robbins in the second modified race.... Michael Clifton's 17th career win in the second race was a popular one for his first win in 3 years..The 100 lap sportsman race went to 123 laps following several late race cautions one of which involved the leader Kenny Bost who tangled with the second place car of Taylor Branch on lap 98...15 year old John Holleman IV won the street stock race for his first win at the stadium...Get well wishes to modified car owner Bob Nelson who reportadly suffered a stroke late in the week....Two nights of racing are on tap this week with the modifieds featured in a 100 lap race on Friday and Saturday as the K&N Pro Series car invade the historic speedway on Saturday and it's $2 Ladies Night..
