A huge packed house was on hand along with 21 K&N cars and 27 modifieds on Saturday...Fridays race which was basically a normal Saturday night show with a 100 lap modified race was rained out...Glen Wood and David Martin were the co grand marshals...Wood has 4 victories at BG as he competed in 62 races at the historic speedway...Thomas Ferrando from France returned to compete again and fellow countryman Anthony Garbarino also raced in the modified 100....Ferrando who is very impressive finished 11th in Kevin Wilson's car while Garbarino finished back near the rear of the field in Randy Butner's second car after several spins... John Smith's last lap bump of race leader Chris Fleming, who went spinning set off a chain reaction crash that damaged the cars of Lee Jeffreys, Tommy Neals, Ronnie Clifton, and others....Per John, his bump was payback from their encounter from a race last year......Smith's 9th stadium win was worth $4000 with a $2500 bonus from G-Oil...Despite two late race spins Jason Myers still holds the point lead over his brother Burt, who had to start dead last after officials determined his wheels were too wide....Burt made his way up to third before getting a bump from behind and falling back to mid pack... Brian Loftin drove the Hill Enterprise #79 but will be back in the Swisher#53 which sat idle this weekend... Austin Pack was back following last weeks backstrech flip and finished second in the race..The entire 27 car modified line-up was determined by a draw...It was great to see David Allio, Tom Derry, Todd Bodine, Chocolate Myers, Ray Evernham, and Erin Crocker at BG. It was Ray'and Erin's first visit and Todd's first in over 30 years..Todd was all smiles following his Friday's truck win at Dover..As expected emotions were fever pitched on this night as after the race several K&N and BG drivers such as Tim Brown, Jonathan Brown, were having strong discussions with their officials.. It was an electric night which featured an exciting fly over by four planes to begin the program...The Stadium Stock (Mini) take center stage next week with a 50 lap race while the modifieds have twin 25 lap races on the program..
