Erica Enders just made an interesting comment. She is going to shallow stage the remaining runs. It will be big Sunday so she does not red light.

Doug Kalitta and Brittany Force just had a big pass. Brittany blew up at finish line so clean up time

Doug Kalitta just said that since he is solidly in the field starting tomorrow they are going for the national record. He is looking at 3.69 maybe a 3.67.

They are calling up top fuel to begin Saturday action. Racing starts at one. It is very overcast and cool records should fall. Cars are rolling into the staging area. How fast and quick can they go.

Track is really tricky few are getting down. Brittany Force got down and is at top of top fuel with a 3.73. Funny cars are strugglingto get down the track.

No big changes in funny car. Ron Capps was about the only car to get down the track, moving up several spots. Right lane is tough, left lane fades at 300 feet. Hopefully the sportsman guys get some rubber down.

Very overcast and chilly, track temp at 75.

no problems for pro stock, Erica tops her top time and has things figured out. Connolly and Greg anderson in bottom half of field.

Bikes are in the high 6.8s so far Angelle really struggling, I am going to talk to her after the round. Eddie just went to the top but Savoie is coming up. Hines is top after round three

Track really came around for second round of nitro. Tony Schumacher is number one, his seventh at Maple Grove. He becomes the only top fuel driver to have seven number ones at any track. His pass was his career best.

Cruz remains at the top in top fuel. John Force is the only driver on Saturday to go under four seconds. His speed is a new track record.

More to come

Erica enders blistered the track at 6.465 to top pro stock. Word from NHRA is that is on hold. They have taken the car to the barn for an inspection.

Hector Arana Jr. Is at the top of pro bike. There was smoke at the finish line but he said it was his brakes not the engine
