Can anyone recommend a set of headsets with the receivers in them so my son can listen to the "track" while at the races?

:thankyou:

I just use a good set of earbuds (Skullcandy), they're alot cooler than a headset in the summer.
Get an extra set as a spare, I go thru two of them or so a year.
If you want to listen along with him go to radio shack and buy a cheap splitter, that way you both can listen off of one scanner.

I do have four really nice Race Electronics headsets that you can talk to each other on while listening to a scanner.
The down fall to those are the cost - If I remember right they were pretty salty - $400 I think.
These usually only get used at NASCAR races.
They're also tough on the ears after two hours or so - your ears start to ache, especially if you're wearing sun glasses.

One other tip, put a strap on your scanner.
I've dropped mine a bunch and last year it took a fall from the top of the front stretch grandstand at the Grove - it still works.
I now have it tethered to my cooler.

If you need track frequencies, shoot me a PM.
