Danny Holtgraver Looks To Win Mercer All-Star Event On Saturday, August 25!!

Image

Pittsburgh, PA – 8/21/12 – After a long August weekend up and down the highway, which lead Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native Danny Holtgraver to three race tracks, in three states, over a three day time period, the All-Star Circuit of Champions ‘Ohio Region’ traveler is ready to spend a weekend close to home. The recent All-Star winner earned three top 15 finishes during his busy three day swing; which included a fifth place performance on Sunday evening, August 19th, against the infamous ‘Pennsylvania Posse’ at Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway in Bedford, Pennsylvania. A small travel break is on the horizon, as Danny Holtgraver will be in action this Friday and Saturday, August 24th and 25th, at two familiar Western Pennsylvania ovals. Holtgraver’s upcoming weekend stops include Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, and Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. Both nights will be full of competitive ’410′ sprint car action, especially Saturday evening when the All-Star Circuit of Champions invade Mercer, Pennsylvania, for the second time in 2012.

The Kargo Quality Cars and Trucks/Alternative Power Sources/FullyInjected.com ‘D4′ will be a part of Lernerville Speedway’s last ‘Fab Four’ event of the 2012 season this Friday evening, August 24th. Holtgraver, who is a former Lernerville Speedway track champion and recent winner at the facility, will have to face-off against Lernerville Speedway’s track championship contenders; which include Kevin Schaeffer and Rod George. With the All-Star Circuit of Champions scheduled to visit the Sarver oval on Friday evening, August 31st, this Friday’s ‘Fab Four’ event is a perfect opportunity for Holtgraver, and crew chief Brian Kemenah, to get one last look at the high-banked, 4/10′s mile surface before big money is on the line next Friday night.

It always feels good to get back home after a long stretch of not being there” explained Holtgraver, “We are going to be a Lernerville on Friday and hopefully it will give us a chance to get ready for the All-Star race there next week…would be nice to earn a win while we are home…a win is always extra special when it’s in front of family and friends!

On Saturday evening, August 25th, Holtgraver, and the entire Kargo Quality Cars and Trucks team, will be back in action to defend their turf against the All-Star Circuit of Champions at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. Dale Blaney, Tim Shaffer, David Gravel, and the entire All-Star gang, will be invading the Mercer 3/8′s mile oval this Saturday night; all looking to snag the ‘Western Pennsylvania Sprint Championship’ $5,000 top prize. The All-Stars have already made one visit to Mercer Raceway Park in 2012. Holtgraver, a former MRP winner in weekly action, finished second in the $5,000-to-win main event; just one spot behind former All-Star Circuit of Champions and Knoxville Nationals champion, Tim Shaffer. The ‘D4′ sits fifth in the current All-Star Circuit of Champions ‘Ohio Region’ point standings entering this Saturday’s program.

We are ready to try and win this thing on Saturday! ” said Holtgraver about the upcoming All-Star event at Mercer, “We were close earlier this year…caught Shaffer in traffic but just ran out of time…hopefully this Saturday we can move up one spot and park ourselves in victory lane!

I know that points, travel, $$, etc will keep most teams in Central PA, but I hope that a few cars will come out for Mercer and/or Lernerville. Always enjoy seeing the Posse making the trip west!! :thumbleft: :cheers2: :redpepper:

:thumbleft: Lance, Fred and Greg are usually money racers too. I thought maybe they would head out. Last I knew the All-Star purse was much better than a regular Saturday Lincoln or Port purse and it's not that long of a tow. :dontknow:
