Port Royal results

Post by Qman » Sat Apr 12, 2008 9:07 pm

1. Lafferty
2. Dewease
3. Shaffer

Appeared Hodnett lost a tire running around 3rd, M. Smith had possible fuel problems and Sheperd was not present.

Congrats Rick Lafferty and thanks for the updates 1080.

Was Keith Kauffman at Port tonight? I didn't see him listed in a heat or the feature.

was a great race after they got the lights back on :laughing7: where else is there good 410 racing and fireworks weekly...only @ THE PORT :thumbleft: ...don't ya think after having the wires throwing sparks every year and shorting out the lights that they would fix the problem............NAH...

good job to the whole Lafferty team

They missed the first race because of weather. I did read where they were scaling their racing back this year due to money.

Excellent job by both Lafferty and Grubb. Grubb got hosed up by a lap car that left the 30C and the 88 get by easier. Lafferty put the car in the perfect spots to keep Dewease at bay the last several laps. Grubb was giving Hodnett fits. Cars were running the top...middle (Lafferty)....and bottom....no dipsy doo holes to speak of if any...

The late models in the first heat were just flying around the place in the 19's...

The spark show has been in the same vicinity the 2 times now that I have witnessed it in the past 2 years...Get the wiring fixed right! I am waiting for someone to fall from the loader bucket or get zapped sometime...I hope not!

The bathrooms in the infield are a great improvement!

I noticed a slight increase in stones flying into the stands. It wasn't an exorbant amount......but there were a few flying around rattling the aluminum!

Food prices jumped about 50 cents on most things.......still not a bad deal for what you get..

No. Keith and family were in Georgia to visit Chase (his son).

Also the word in the pits was that it was the Jet's daughter's birthday this evening. Two classic examples of people putting family first. :thumbright:

Exactly :!:  Sometimes we forget that these people have familes just like us... To those who put there family first...Funny how just because a team decides to scale back a little we can no longer consider them a "Top Tier Team" or a "Player in Central Pa"

Personally I thought the track coulda been a bit better rather than dry and dusty. But hey there were fireworks.
Gotta give a shout to Cale Grubb. Looked great in his heat race winning, and ran a good 2nd in the feature until Lance and Todd drove by him, but he still maintained a very very respectable 4th.
