April 15, 2008

We've had two super sportsman races since the last report and just one winner! On opening night at Williams Grove Mike Enders was involved in a crash that damaged his #3B car pretty bad, so they bring out the backup car #07 at Lincoln and followed by Williams Grove and Mike wins both races! Following Mike to the checkers at Lincoln on 4-5-08 was Scott Dellinger (30), Frankie Herr (99), Carmen Perigo jr. (2a), Jason Fry (10), Rick Barr (00), Paul Miller (55), John Stehman (1), Russ Mitten (77), Derek Locke (30R). Leroy Martin (66) returned to Lincoln one week after a horrible crash at Williams Grove, only to flip once again! Leroy was uninjured. 38 cars were in attendance. Williams Gove action on 4-12-08 found again 38 cars signed in! Again we had another nasty crash, this time involving John Stehman (1). John Was transported and admitted to the hospital, and we wish John a speedy recovery! Jay Fannasy (222) had a feature race rollover, and Paul Miller (55) had a hard crash on the backstretch during a heat race while attempting to pass a lapped car. New cars during the last two weeks were, Art Liedl (2), Dave Berkheimer (5), Aaron Eichelberger (88), Eric Eckert (20), Glenn Keller (71K), John Wolfe (888), Robert Liedl (4), Jeremy Ginder (1T). This sayurday 4-19-08 the super sportsman join the 410 sprints and late models at Port Royal Speedway. In other saturday night results, Bruce Kane #1K won the 358 late model feature after leader Jake Lettich (17) spun while following a car about to be lapped down the backstrech that blew up directly in front of him. 26 cars in attendance. Kory Sites (21K) won the street stock feature with 14 cars in attendance. Two races and two wins for Dave Leidy (21) in the 4 cyl. division. 17 cars in attendance. During the 4 cyl. feature Mike Potts (M1) took a nasty series of flips down the frontstretch, but thankfully walked away uninjured!
