Robert E. Hockenberry Jr.


BEAVER SPRINGS - Robert E. "Randy" "Hock" Hockenberry, Jr., 55, of Beaver Springs passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2011 at his home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1956 in Lewistown.
He is survived by his wife, Deidre (Aumiller) Hockenberry, whom he married Sept. 27, 1997, one daughter, Alexandra Mae Hockenberry, at home, his mother, Esther (Bender) Hockenberry of Port Royal, one sister, Bonnie Snodgrass and husband, Jack of Paxtang, and one brother, Benjamin Milliken, Jr. of Summerdale.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Hockenberry, Sr.
Randy was a 1974 graduate of Juniata High School and, prior to retiring, had worked for Wagman Construction, the Innfield Tavern, PPG, and JPM.
He enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, Penn State sports, JETS football, the Pittsburgh Pirates, watching Alex play soccer, and spending time with family and friends.
His funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26 at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown with Rev. Nathan Baker-Trinity and Rev. Kenneth Kitzmiller officiating. Interment will be in Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
There will be a viewing Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to Beaver Lutheran Church, PO Box 167, Beaver Springs, PA 17812 or to Alexandra Hockenberry, in care of M&T Bank, 19059 Route 522, Beaver Springs, PA 17812 to use for her education.
