Looks like a real good deal there... :laughing7:

$35-40 pit pass to watch 20 cars at Dust Diamond while the All Stars are at the Grove.

Tough decision..Better consult the wife on this one...

Allen 1a, they were never told at least 20 cars this Friday. When the deal was put together 20 to 25 was talked about since alot of cars sit on a Friday. They just called last night and wanted to know if there was a confirmed number of cars. They were told it could be looked into. In less than 12 hours it is at 14 at this point. There are also 7 maybes, the $40 is the hurdle for some. Those are just the ones contacted who commited first or second hand who knows who hasn't been contacted but will show. Like it or not its an attempt to get sprint guys a another place to race where fans and teams are looking to save on travel expenses. Clinton County was a 4hr round trip for the same payout now its an 1hr round trip so to us we are still ahead with the extra $15 pit compared to CC. On one else made an attempt to try to get other places to run. If it doesn't get support they will drop it and then people can complain about it. Its not $40 because the sprints are there that is just what they charge. I don't like it but it is what it is. They are looking for a full time sprint division this could make or break it.

If they want this to work they better drop the $40 pit fee to atleast $25..Your teams are down $120+ in pit passes (driver & 2 crewmen) before they even lower the trailer door...

If they want to make a go of this for the low buck guys why do they have the HIGHEST pit gate rates of ANY LOCAL TRACK ANYWHERE..

Sounds like they plan to get 15-20 cars and then plan on ripping each and everyone off so they can make a buck...Not the best business model out there...

$5.00 more than a member pays to get in after the member bought the $80 pass. I agree they are padding their pocket but their regulars do the $35 every week. They won't bend on the price knowing it will hurt them. Just showing up to anywhere you are down before you open the door. Remember the only guys making money are the drivers who are getting a cut. A guy could win every week at any sprint track but the owner will still lose money for the season.

Since my schedule doesn't allow me yet to go (a few weeks yet), and if I could.......

I would spend the extra $$ to drive past Route 61 on 78 West, and head to The Grove Friday for the All-Stars. :yessss:
