On December 8 , 2011 we lost a good friend in Bob "Ponytail" Collins. Ponytail was always in the pits helping on many different sprint car teams or out in the parking lot cooking up some good food. Since he was always a fan of the "lower budget" or "underdog" teams we have decided to honor him on June 16 at Port Royal Speedway . We picked this night because it is a regular show and that should make it possible to get the bonuses in the proper hands. We are collecting money to divide between all of the teams that do not qualify for the sprint car feature that night . It's pretty simple , what we collect , we will divde evenly between those teams .

If anyone wants to help out with a donation please either see me or Kevin Frey and we will accept any amount you are able to donate. Thanks in advance.

Change of plans...Dave ely will be at Wms. Grove on Friday and Port Royal on Saturday so I'll look you up.

No, actually we were going to go to Rolling Wheels and Middletown but with the weather and a few other things popping up, we decided to stay close to home..........I do really enjoy racing at Port Royal and we are going to try and put a deal together to race there every week in 2013......but I did some dumb things this year and that is going to prevent us from racing the 410 every week. I bought a midget because Big Diamond announced they were going to run 10 or 12 midget races on Saturday nights and its so close to home and I could get to all the races..........they ran 1 midget show and then decided to cancel their Saturday night series......not the brightest thing I ever did.

Dave, PM or call me if you want to talk. We probablly should keep this thread on topic because I think it would be pretty neat if these guys can raise a good amount of money for their buddy. I'm going to donate.....why don't you send them a couple of buck too. I didn't know Bob, but its sounds like he was my kind of fan...always pulling for the little guys.
