Am I wrong in thinking the heat & feature lineups were off? Danny Dietrich wad 10th in time trials & started 5th in his heat. Also, he was the the 6th fastest time to be eligible for the inversion...they Drew a 6 & rahmer started on the pole while Dietrich started 10th[code][/code]

As I understand it, only the top 2 from the heat race finish and the quick time trialer were eligible for the inversion draw which was a 6. I think the heat race line up was wrong, if he was 10th quick. They said they were inverting 4 in each heat or 16 overall. That should have put the 48 outside front row of a heat. The kicker is Billy Dietrich missed his time trial spot by more than 2 cars, so that should have moved Danny to 9th quick. Still should have put him outside row of a heat. Either he was not 10th quick or the lineup was screwed up??????????????

I believe Danny also missed his TT by 2 spots and was also penalized.

I also don't get why hodnett started 4 in his heat after qualifying 5. Can anyone help me with this?

Ok...I heard a bunch of stuff last night right after I posted that question. I believe Hodnett started 4th because Billy Dietrich (not Danny) missed his time trial spot by more than two places. So he qualifed 4th, but was penalized by not being allowed to be part of the heat inversion. That would have bumped Hodnett, who qualifed 5th, up to the 4th fastest time for the inversion. Thus giving him the 4th starting spot in his heat. I heard DANNY missed the driver's meeting and was penalized in the same way Billy was. That would explain why he timed 10th yet started 5th in his heat. Also, he should have stated on the pole for the feature but due to the penalty he was put to 10th moving Rahmer up to the 6th fastest car to be eligible for inversion in the feature. Ott drew a 6 & it put Fred on the pole. My daughter is a Hodnett fan & my son is a DD fan, so I think I stayed up half the night figuring this out..lol. Seems like they just could've announced it
