[ Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – 7/18/12 ] Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native and Western Pennsylvania sprint car sensation, Danny Holtgraver, lead the local charge against the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series last night, July 17th, at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania and defended well; finishing inside the top 10 during both Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup, 30 lap ‘A’ features. The Kargo Quality Cars and Trucks/Alternative Power Sources/FullyInjected.com ‘D4′ had perhaps the most impressive performance of the evening at Lernerville Speedway. The former Lernerville Speedway winner charged from a 19th place starting position to finish 2nd in the first World of Outlaws A-main event; all before rallying from a 19th place starting position, again, to finish 10th in the second 30 lapper. When both Word of Outlaws A-mains were finished and scoring was completed, it was an obvious statistic that Holtgraver had the highest average finish; notching the former Lernerville Speedway track champion as not only an up-and-coming star, but perhaps one of the most elite drivers in the country.

We had a lot of fun last night! ” explained Danny Holtgraver about his Silver Cup performance, “We put together a couple of great runs and just had things go our way…it was awesome to perform like that in front of my home track with all of our family and friends in attendance…just a great feeling!

Holtgraver earned his spot in the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup twin features by finishing 4th in his respective heat race from a 3rd row starting spot. The recent All-Star Circuit of Champions winner at Attica Raceway Park qualified 19th out of the 40 cars that took time last night. Holtgraver was awarded the KSE Hard Charger Award for advancing 17 positions during the first A-main.

This weekend will be business as usual for the current All-Star Circuit of Champions ‘Ohio Region’ competitor. Holtgraver will be back in action in Central Pennsylvania once again, competing against ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt.’ The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will be making a two-day visit to the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania this weekend for the annual Summer Nationals. Two full nights of World of Outlaws action will take place this Friday and Saturday – July 20th and 21st – at Williams Grove Speedway; with a high number of drivers and teams, including the notorious Pennsylvania Posse, expected to be signed-in. Holtgraver will be back behind the wheel of the Tom and Fran Chiappelli/Golden Flavor Sesame Sticks no. 98 sprint car this weekend with the World of Outlaws. The newly formed team has only been in action twice together in 2012; both resulting in top ten finishes at Port Royal Speedway. The familiar gold and yellow no. 98 piloted by Holtgraver finished 7th in it’s team debut back on July 7th during Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek; with their most recent start together resulting in a 4th place finish at the Port Royal half mile.

We are really excited about this weekend” explained Holtgraver, “We hope to get there and put a few good nights together…this will only be our third time together this year as a new team so hopefully we can keep our good chemistry going in the right direction!

Danny Holtgraver will return home on Sunday, July 22nd, for the rescheduled $3,000-to-win, Connor Bobik Memorial at Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, Pennsylvania. The unsanctioned ’410′ sprint car evening was cancelled last Sunday night due to wet weather. The Pittsburgh native will return to the seat of his Kargo sponsored ‘D4′ for the Sunday evening event.

Didn't almost everyone in that feature bring out a yellow at some point?

There were several cautions, and a red for fuel, but Danny's car was very strong on the bottom, and he made some great moves in heavy traffic. He also raced side-by-side with Kinser for several laps before moving past him...it wasn't like everyone wrecked, and Danny lucked out. He flat out drove one heckuva race!! ;)

Almost all of the yellows were by Darrah and Sweet, think they each had 3 or 4 each
